Setting WiFi utk Blackberry
CLICK ON WAP
GO DOWN TO SETTINGS
CLICK SELECT SIM and CHOOSE EITHER SIM 1 OR SIM 2 CLCIK OK
GO DOWN TO PROFILE... SELECT the SIM you just chose.... it will take you to a lot of choices but go down
the list until you see WIFI.
CLICK OK
CLICK ACTIVATE PROFILE.
START SURFING.
on the WIFI settings... the DEFAULT homepage is http://wap.monteret.com... i dont know what happens
if i left it as is but i changed mine to http://wap.smart.com.ph since that is my provider. your airtime will
not be affected. i kept checking my balance and it was still the same. they didnt deduct any surfing time.

Ok i'll to make it as detail as possible.. (this is for the blackberry 8900 clone)
1) go to SERVICES using MENU (the globe with line circling it) (do not go directly to the globe on standby mode coz that's the browser)
2)the click WAP
3) scroll all the way down to SETTINGS
4) select PROFILES (not select sim)
5)then after you selected it, you will see SIM 1 and SIM 2
6)just select both SIM then set it to WIFI (WIFI is located all the way down)
7) then MENU select the WIRELESS LAN select the "SEARCH FOR NETWORKS" to detect if there's any wifi available
8) once detected, select connect.. if connected
9) exit to standby mode the select the GLOBE WITH THE LINE that's the opera mini browser.. and you're good to go..
10) for the other browser, go to MENU
11) JAVA then JAVA again then you'll see the OPERA MINI, eBUDDY, YAMEE, FACEBOOK..
i think when you go to this selection it's kinda slower.. unlike the opera mini.. either way it still connects you to the internet..
by the way prince red, i didnt change the default homepage and it still works.. i use SUN and GLOBE sims
doesnt matter as long as you're using wifi settings.. i think they will only charge you if your using the GPRS for browsing :)
